A gamer from Russia, Ruslan Shchedrin, has won a rather strange prize for being the 100000th visitor to a website that sells in – game weapons and gear. He has been awarded a stay at a Moscow hotel with an adult film star for a whole month.
The bizarre contest was held in celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, a Russian holiday held annually. Ruslan did not believe his luck at first but when he realized it was indeed true, he thanked the website. He stated, ” I am overjoyed and my friends are also happy for me, although there is some envy.”
Ruslan’s family is furious. They already think that he wastes a lot of time playing video games and this prize will only distract him from his studies further. “I am totally against it,” said his mother, Vera Shchedrin. She said they would have been happier if he was awarded 100000 rubles instead.
Organizers have given the boy the option to pass on the prize to an “official representative”, which in this case would be the boy’s father. Although his mother won’t hear it, “No, absolutely not”, she said. She also mentioned that the controversial prize has already led to family quarrels and made her son mad.
The pornstar, Ekaterina Makarov, wants to keep her end of the deal and is looking forward to meeting Ruslan. But at the same time she doesn’t want to annoy the boy’s parents and if they don’t allow him to stay with her at the hotel, she is willing to meet him every day after school.
