Terrifying footage captures the moment a man slips off a water slide that was built over the edge of a cliff face.
David Salmon took on the private water slide that was built in a friend’s garden in Austin, Texas, overlooking Lake Travis.
But the man manages to crash over the edge of the plastic slide and tumble down a cliff edge, landing on the rocks below, reports Fox 4 News.
David was immediately taken to hospital with a broken arm, several fractured ribs and lacerations to the back.
But since the accident he has been able to see the funny side, and even posted the video on Facebook with the tag: ‘Too dang old to be going down water slides’.
He told Fox 4 News: ‘I’d gone down a few times and it was fast. But this time, I just couldn’t slow down, even threw my arm out, and went right over the edge.
‘For a split second, I was like oh no and then it was like a hard crash, and the rest was all just blurry.’
The 22-second video has been viewed more than 2.5 million times and shared almost 2,000 times.
