A high school English teacher in Texas has been arrested after she was found half-naked in a car with a fully nude student in the back seat.
According to Click On Detroit, Laura Michelle Lozano is facing at least one charge of indecency with a child by exposure, though it’s unclear if she will be facing any additional charges.
Police reportedly decided to check out Lozano’s car after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle, according to mySA.com.
The 46-year-old English teacher at Cigarroa High School was soon discovered in a white SUV Monday night, entirely naked from the waist down, according to Investigator Joe Baeza.
Authorities say Lozano initially lied and told them she was alone in the vehicle when they asked, but a quick search revealed a completely nude 16-year-old boy hiding from police in the back seat.
According to a statement from the Laredo Independent School District, Lozano will be suspended from her teaching position pending an investigation into the incident.
As mySA.com reports, despite the charges against her, Lozano is currently free on bail from the Webb County Jail in Texas.
